"Sugar Factory – Learning Circular Economy from Sugarcane" Competition Purpose

In Taiwan, the sugar industry was once an early economic pillar of the nation, and the sugar production process itself involves extensive resource recycling, with virtually no waste. Today, sustainable development has become a crucial issue across all sectors globally. Therefore, this competition encourages students and teachers to form teams and, by referring to the operational processes and product production of sugar factories, propose innovative circular economy ideas and application plans that can be used in society. Selected proposals may be practically implemented, combining theory with practice to promote and apply the concept of sustainable development in society.
